The 2010 Indian Wells tennis event has just started. The WTA event is currently underway, while the ATP encounters have 2 more days until the debut.
The Indian Wells is as usual a Masters Series 1000 event in the ATP race and a Premier Mandatory event of the WTA tour. The Winners of this tournament will collect 1000 ATP/WTA points, this is half of the amount earned for winning a Grand Slam event.
This year’s defending title holders are Rafael Nadal for the Men’s tournament and Vera Zvonareva in the Women’s competition.
