The first tournament covered by us in 2012 is the ATP Doha. You can get, this week, the live scores for all matches played in Qatar.

The tournament has currently reached the QuarterFinals stage and all main favorites are still in the game. Top seed Rafael Nadal, takes on Mikhael Youzhny for a place in the semis. Roger Federer, 2nd seeded in Doha, plays against Andreas Seppi for a place in the last 4.

A Nadal vs Federer Final is highly possible. However, there are a few other big guns left in the game as, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gael Monfils who will try to reach the Final of the first important tournament of the season.

Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer clashed this year already in the Final of the exhibition tournament played in Abu Dhabi. The Spaniard won in straight sets 6-1, 7-5.

The 2011 Paris Masters has started on November 7 with the Final scheduled for Sunday, Nov 13. It’s the last tournament of the season for most players, as the World Tour Finals will host only the top 8 players in the World. Most probably this is why Rafael Nadal has dropped out from Paris to prepare for the O2 Arena battles.

Novak Djokovic, current World No. 1, is playing in Paris although he still complains about shoulder injury. He was out for 1 month and returned to the competition last week in Basel. He lost surprisingly in the semis, after controlling the match, to Kei Nishikori. It was only his 4th defeat of the season. Everyone is curious if he can return to his best before the World Tour Finals. Follow him in Paris and see how he performs.

Roger Federer and Andy Murray seem big favorites to win the Paris Masters under these circumstances. Federer surly got a confidence boost after winning his home tournament in Basel. It was only the 2nd tournament that he won this year. However this did not help him to overtake Andy Murray in the rankings and remains 4th after 7 years of finishing in the top two spots.

Federer vs Djokovic Live

The ATP Dubai Championships have reached the Final stages. It’s time for one more blockbuster tennis final between two of the most in shape tennis players of the moment. Roger Federer takes on Novak Djokovic for the Dubai title. The match is scheduled to start at 4pm CET, 10am EST and 7am PST!

The Serbian, fresh 2011 Australian Open winner, aims to defend his Dubai title. Djokovic has won this tournament in the last two years and needs to defend all of the 500 ATP points awarded for this tournament. This will allow him to stick close to Roger Federer and have a go at his 2nd ATP spot.

Roger Federer has an even higher record as Novak at the Dubai Championships. He will attempt to win his 5th title today, in Dubai. The Swiss Champion has in the United Arab Emirates in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2007. In 2006 he lost the Final played against his biggest rival, Rafal Nadal. The Spaniard has not recovered yet, from his AO injury, and did not play during this year’s edition of the ATP Dubai Championships.

Novak Djokovic has defeated Tomas Berdych for a ticket in today’s Final. In fact the Czech player retired in the deciding set, because of an injury. I had won the first set but, Djokovic got back into the match with a solid 2nd set performance.

Roger Federer seems on fire and is the favorite for today’s Final. He did not encounter any serious resistance this week in Dubai and only Djokovic seems able to stop him. Tune in and follow this Final live online.

Federer 6-3/6-4 Davydenko

The first important tennis tournament of the season is the 2011 ATP Doha. Qatar is already a traditional location for the debut of a new tennis season. The Qatar ExxonMobil Open Final is scheduled for today, Saturday, January 8 and features seed No. 2 Roger Federer versus defending title holder, Nikolay Davydenko. Federer 6-3/6-4 Davydenko live is scheduled to start at 16:00 GMT+1, that’s Central European Time. It will be 3pm for the UK viewers and and 10:00 AM for those living in the EST time zone (07:00AM for PST).

Roger Federer is important favorite for today’s victory. The Swiss Champion has won this tournament two times already, in 2005 and 2006. He defeated seed No. 3, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for a place in the Qatar Open Final. It was a straight sets win, 6-3 and 7-6, against a Frenchman that doesn’t seem to find the key to upset Federer.

Nikolay Davydenko is somehow a surprise opponent for Roger in this Final, although the Russian is the defending title holder of this tournament. Since his triumph in Doha in 2010, Nikolay lost his shape and dropped outside of the ATP Top 20. However, he managed to defeat yesterday, World No. 1, Rafael Nadal. It’s true that the Spaniard struggled with fever the entire week. Davydenko won in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.

Nadal 3-6/6-3/1-6 Federer

Rafael Nadal 3-6/6-3/1-6 Roger Federer is the last major tennis Final of the season. And what a blockbuster final we will have in front of your eyes this afternoon, starting from 5.30pm UK time, 12:30pm EST. It’s the Final of the ATP World Tour Finals, the last major event of the season.

Nadal 3-6/6-3/1-6 Federer has been played a single time this year. The Madrid Masters Final was won by the Spaniard. Nadal has had the perfect season. He regained the World No.1 spot, won 3 Grand Slam events, all clay court Masters Series events and has now reached the Final of the Barclay’s World Tour Finals, a Final that he has never played before.

Roger Federer comes after a rather poor season. 2010 started perfectly for Roger, who won the Australian Open in style. Since January he failed to perform in the rest of the Grand Slams and had also a weak performance at the Master Series event. He dropped to the 3rd ATP spot after the US Open, but has managed to climb to the 2nd since. However, he is some 4000 points behind Nadal.

Rafael Nadal seems to be the underdog in this encounter. The surface and the indoor conditions is the worst combination of playing field for the Spaniard. More, it seems that it’s ideal for Roger. Next, Nadal played a 3h and 11 minutes marathon match in the semis against Andy Murray, while Roger demolished Djokovic 6-1, 6-4. It’s true Federer is older. We can only hope for a balanced blockbuster Final.

The 2010 World Tour Finals feature the Semi-Final stage, today starting with 4pm UK time. It’s a clash between titans for a place in tomorrow’s big Final!

Roger Federer and Florian Mayer clash on Sunday for the ATP Stockholm Final. This is an ATP 250 tournament hosted in Sweden. The Swiss star aims for his 64th ATP title. This will tie him with Pete Sampras on the 4th spot in the open era. Jimmy Connors is the leader in this ranking with 109 titles, followed by Ivan Lendl with 94 and John McEnroe standing at 77.

Federer vs Mayer has been played twice so far. The Swiss Champion has won both encounters and starts as a huge favorite the ATP Stockholm Final.

Roger Federer obtained a comfortable straight sets semifinal win against, Croat Ivan Ljubicic. The Swiss encountered some problems in his quarterfinal match against Stanislas Wawrinka when he had to come back from 1 set behind. Florian Mayer had an impressive run in Stockholm. He managed to defeat the home favorite, Robin Soderling, Feliciano Lopez and Jarkko Nieminen on his road to the final. He has the chance of winning his first ever ATP World Tour title.
