The first tournament covered by us in 2012 is the ATP Doha. You can get, this week, the live scores for all matches played in Qatar.

The tournament has currently reached the QuarterFinals stage and all main favorites are still in the game. Top seed Rafael Nadal, takes on Mikhael Youzhny for a place in the semis. Roger Federer, 2nd seeded in Doha, plays against Andreas Seppi for a place in the last 4.

A Nadal vs Federer Final is highly possible. However, there are a few other big guns left in the game as, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gael Monfils who will try to reach the Final of the first important tournament of the season.

Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer clashed this year already in the Final of the exhibition tournament played in Abu Dhabi. The Spaniard won in straight sets 6-1, 7-5.

Thank you for following tennis season 2011 live online with us. The World Tour Finals have completed an excellent season that ended with a fresh ATP leader. Novak Djokovic is the surprise of the year. The Serbian star managed to finish for the first time in history a season as World No. 1. He did not show any serious signs of not being able to defend his crown in 2012. Djokovic won 3 Grand Slam events and 5 Masters Series events to complete and incredible season. Congratulations!

Rafael Nadal couldn’t repeat the excellent year that he had in 2010 and has to accept yet another season end as World No. 2. The Spaniard has now 2 years of World No. 1 and 4 of World No. 2, an amazing performance at such an young age. Rafa won a single Slam this season, his favorite, the Roland Garros. He lost two Finals against Djokovic, at Wimbledon and at the US Open. More, he also lost a series of Masters Series 1000 finals against the same player at: Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid and Rome. The only Masters that he won was in Monte Carlo.

Roger Federer played his worst season since becoming a tennis star. Even the exceptional finish couldn’t help him to save the year. Federer’s only tournaments won in 2011 where in Basel, Paris and London, the final tournaments of the year. He just managed to clinch the 3rd spot of the ATP rankings and records his lowest ranking in 9 years. Can he recover in 2012?

Andy Murray had a good year which could have been his best with a little bit of luck and no injuries. He lost one more Grand Slam final. His 3rd one, against Novak Djokovic. The previous 2 where lost against Federer. Murray grabbed 2 Masters Series events and finished the year just behind Federer after staying for several weeks on the 3rd spot ahead of the Swiss star. He certainly can improve in 2012!

The 2011 Paris Masters has started on November 7 with the Final scheduled for Sunday, Nov 13. It’s the last tournament of the season for most players, as the World Tour Finals will host only the top 8 players in the World. Most probably this is why Rafael Nadal has dropped out from Paris to prepare for the O2 Arena battles.

Novak Djokovic, current World No. 1, is playing in Paris although he still complains about shoulder injury. He was out for 1 month and returned to the competition last week in Basel. He lost surprisingly in the semis, after controlling the match, to Kei Nishikori. It was only his 4th defeat of the season. Everyone is curious if he can return to his best before the World Tour Finals. Follow him in Paris and see how he performs.

Roger Federer and Andy Murray seem big favorites to win the Paris Masters under these circumstances. Federer surly got a confidence boost after winning his home tournament in Basel. It was only the 2nd tournament that he won this year. However this did not help him to overtake Andy Murray in the rankings and remains 4th after 7 years of finishing in the top two spots.

Novak Djokovic has won on Monday the 2011 US Open title. It was an epic encounter between the best tennis players of the moment. Rafael Nadal gave it all out in order to successfully defend his title but it proved to be not enough. The Serbian star won in 4 sets after 4hours and 10 minutes of magical tennis. There where tens of fabulous never ending points.

Nadal started the Final superbly and raced to a 2-0 lead after some disputed opening games of the match. Djokovic punched back and leveled the scoreboard. Game 5 seemed never ending. It was 15 minutes long and at the end Rafa couldn’t hold his serve. It turned to be the decisive game of the set as Nole raced and completed the set at 6-2.

Djokovic showed the same strength in the 2nd set as he found himself 0-2 down once again on the scoreboard. Nadal lost this set 4-6 after another long fought battle. He was now one set close of losing the US Open crown to his arch rival.

The Spaniard gave it all out in the 3rd set. It was the most disputed part of the Final with several brakes on both serves. Nadal was first to reach 5 games on the scoreboard and Djokovic had to serve to stay in the set. He did it and also broke Rafa to serve for the match. Nadal found the strength to brake back and sent the set in the tiebreaker which he also won 7-3.

The World No.1 called the trainer for a lower back injury but surprisingly managed to close the match with 6-1 in the 4th set. He now holds 3 Grand Slam events and has a comfortable lead in the ATP rankings! Djokovic was delighted with his win and his stay in the US.

The 2011 US Open is reaching its climax this weekend. The final stages of this 4th Grand Slam event of the season are about to unfold in Flushing Meadows at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Rain caused some issues during this 2nd week of events, but the weather has cleared and everyone is ready for the final matches.

It’s time for the 2011 Wimbledon Championships Final. 11 Days of competition have selected the best tennis players of the world for Saturday’s and Sunday’s Final of the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Singles tournaments as well as the Doubles and Mixed Doubles Championships.

Maria Sharapova vs Petra Kvitiova clash today in the most important match of Day 12. It’s the Ladies’ Singles Final starting at 14:00 GMT+1 on Centre Court. It will be followed by the Gentlemen’s Doubles final played between the Bryan brothers and the pair built by the Romainan Tecau and Swede Robert Lindstedt. The Ladies’ Doubles final will end this highly expected Saturday of the 2nd week of encounters at the All England Club.

Rafael Nadal vs Novak Djokovic is the greatest clash of this edition. The two meet in Sunday’s Final to settle the winner for the Gentlemen’s Singles trophy. The Spaniard aims to defend his Wimbledon crown as he is undefeated in London since 2007, when he lost the final to Roger Federer. Djokovic has earned himself the world No. 1 spot. However he needs to win this Final in order to be able to defend it for some time. Else he will have to give it back to Rafa on August 1, when the Spaniard will receive his 500 ATP points earned in Barcelona back in May.

Federer vs Djokovic Live

The ATP Dubai Championships have reached the Final stages. It’s time for one more blockbuster tennis final between two of the most in shape tennis players of the moment. Roger Federer takes on Novak Djokovic for the Dubai title. The match is scheduled to start at 4pm CET, 10am EST and 7am PST!

The Serbian, fresh 2011 Australian Open winner, aims to defend his Dubai title. Djokovic has won this tournament in the last two years and needs to defend all of the 500 ATP points awarded for this tournament. This will allow him to stick close to Roger Federer and have a go at his 2nd ATP spot.

Roger Federer has an even higher record as Novak at the Dubai Championships. He will attempt to win his 5th title today, in Dubai. The Swiss Champion has in the United Arab Emirates in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2007. In 2006 he lost the Final played against his biggest rival, Rafal Nadal. The Spaniard has not recovered yet, from his AO injury, and did not play during this year’s edition of the ATP Dubai Championships.

Novak Djokovic has defeated Tomas Berdych for a ticket in today’s Final. In fact the Czech player retired in the deciding set, because of an injury. I had won the first set but, Djokovic got back into the match with a solid 2nd set performance.

Roger Federer seems on fire and is the favorite for today’s Final. He did not encounter any serious resistance this week in Dubai and only Djokovic seems able to stop him. Tune in and follow this Final live online.
